Swap Video Character (“Swap AI”) is a creative video app. We do not require you to create an account and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the app. Devices are identified by an anonymous ID generated locally on your device, used only for credit balance management.
What we collect. When you start a generation, you choose a portrait photo that may contain a human face (for example, a selfie or a photo from your camera roll). This is a single still image you select; we do not access your camera or photo library in the background.
How we use it. Face data is used only to perform the AI video generation you request: placing your chosen character into a source video you provide. We do not use face data for advertising, user profiling, identity verification, facial recognition, or any purpose other than this creative generation.
What we do not do. We do not create or store biometric identifiers, face templates, or faceprints. We do not use face data to identify you or anyone else.
Sharing with third parties. To complete generation, your portrait is uploaded to our server and then transmitted to our AI processing partners Kie.ai and/or Replicate. These providers process the image solely to run the requested AI model and return the generated video. We do not sell, rent, or share face data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Where it is stored. Portrait images are uploaded to Kie.ai’s file hosting infrastructure during processing. Our backend does not maintain a long-term library of your source portraits. Processing partners may temporarily hold files on their infrastructure while a job runs, according to their own policies.
Retention. Source portrait files are kept only for as long as needed to complete processing and are not retained on our servers after generation finishes. Generated output videos may be stored on our servers for up to 14 days (see Data retention below), then automatically deleted. You may request deletion of any data we hold by contacting us.
In addition to a portrait, you may submit a source video (from your gallery, camera, a supported social link, or a direct file URL). Source videos are processed the same way as portrait photos: uploaded for the requested generation job and handled by Kie.ai and/or Replicate. We do not use submitted videos for any purpose other than the generation you initiate.
Payments are processed exclusively by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Credits are stored anonymously on our servers and linked to a device ID, not a personal account.
Swap AI uses Kie.ai and Replicate for AI video generation, and may use ElevenLabs when you optionally change the voice on a generated video. These services process submitted media according to their own privacy policies:
Generated videos are automatically deleted from our servers after 14 days. Anonymous device IDs and credit balances are retained until you request deletion. Source portrait and source video files submitted for a generation job are not kept on our servers after processing completes.
You choose whether to provide a portrait or video. You can stop using the app at any time. To request deletion of data associated with your device ID or to ask privacy questions, email us at alin@nergetic.app.
