Privacy Policy — Swap Video Character

Overview

Swap Video Character (“Swap AI”) is a creative video app. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. Your device is identified by an anonymous ID generated on the device, used for your credit balance and generation history.

Before you can use the app, it shows you what data is sent to which AI service and asks for your permission. The sections below explain this in detail.

What data we collect and how

• A photo you choose (from your camera, photo library, or files). It usually shows a person’s face. We only receive the single photo you select; the app never reads your library or camera in the background.
• A video you choose (from your library, camera, files, or a supported social media / direct video link you paste).
• The audio of the generated video, only if you choose a new voice.
• Anonymous device ID, a device secret and an optional recovery code, generated by the app and our server to keep your credits safe and to move them to a new device. The recovery code is stored on our server only in hashed and encrypted form.
• Purchase records from Apple or Google (transaction ID, product, date), used only to add credits and to handle refunds. We never receive your card or payment details.
• Technical data: crash and error reports (app version, device model, operating system, the error) and app integrity checks. These never contain your photos or videos.

How we use it

Your photo, video and voice audio are used only to create the video you request: placing the person from your photo into your video, or animating your photo with the movement of your video, and optionally changing the voice. We do not use them for advertising, profiling, identity verification, facial recognition, or training AI models, and we never sell them.

We do not create or store biometric identifiers, face templates or faceprints, and we do not use face data to identify you or anyone else.

Who we share it with (third-party AI and service providers)

To create your video, the files you choose are sent to the following providers, each only for the purpose listed:

• Kie.ai — stores your uploaded photo and video temporarily and runs some of the AI video models (Kling). Privacy Policy
• Replicate — runs the other AI video models (Wan, Kling 3.0). Privacy Policy
• ElevenLabs — receives the audio of the generated video, only when you choose a new voice, and returns it in the chosen voice. Privacy Policy
• RapidAPI (social download service) — receives a social media link you paste, only to find the video file behind it. It does not receive your photo.
• Cloudflare — hosts our servers and stores generated videos. Privacy Policy
• Google Firebase App Check — confirms requests come from the genuine app (no photos, videos or personal details). Privacy Policy
• Sentry — receives crash and error reports (no photos or videos). Privacy Policy
• Apple and Google — process in-app purchases under their own terms.

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf for the purposes above and whose privacy terms give it protection equal to or greater than this policy. None of them may use your photos, videos or audio for their own advertising.

Retention

• Uploaded photos and videos, generated videos and voice audio are deleted from our storage automatically after 5 days. Providers keep files only temporarily while processing, under their own policies.
• Your generation history is kept on your device until you delete it or the app.
• The anonymous device ID, credit balance, purchase records and recovery code are kept while you use the app, and until you ask us to delete them.
• Crash reports are kept for a limited time (at most 90 days).

Refunds and credits

If a purchase is refunded by Apple or Google, the credits from that purchase are removed. If they were already used, your balance can become negative until new credits cover it. Recovered credits move to your new device together with any such balance.

Your choices and deletion requests

You choose which photo and video to provide, and whether to change the voice. You can remove generated videos from the app’s gallery (our copies are deleted after 5 days anyway) and stop using the app at any time. To delete the data linked to your device ID or to ask any privacy question, email alin@nergetic.app with the Device ID shown on the Credits screen.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we add a new AI provider or change how your data is used, we update this policy and the information shown in the app.
